Background:
My name is Dan Wood and I am a Broker/Owner of Cornerstone Real Estate Company in Summit County Colorado. I work with buyers and sellers throughout Summit County in the towns of Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Dillon, Frisco, Keystone and Silverthorne. I specialize in residential real estate with a focus on finding buyers their perfect piece of Summit County.
Recently I have pursued the world of real estate development and commercial real estate. In 2007 I worked hand in hand with a developer on the planning of a 20 unit condo project in Silverthorne and sold a complete approved and ready to develop project in Winter Park.
Here's a little more information about me:
I was born and raised just north of San Diego California. Growing up, my family had a condo at Mammoth Mountain where I learned to ski and enjoy the mountain lifestyle and activities throughout the year. I attended college at Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado. During and just after college I became increasingly involved in rock climbing, mountaineering and river rafting. After spending a few summers as a raft guide I went to work for the Colorado Outward Bound School where I taught young adults mountaineering, rock climbing and river rafting on multi-day backcountry expeditions throughout the Southwest and met my wife, Heather, when we were both working for Outward bound in 2000.
I moved to Summit County in 1998 and spent my first several winters here working as a ski patroller at Copper Mountain. After over 10 years here in Summit County, this is home. Heather and I explored ski towns all across the Northwest before we agreed to settle here. Through our travels we couldn't find a town that offered as much variety, convenience and beauty as Summit County. The skiing can't be beat, and as an avid fly fisherman I enjoy the year round access to the gold medal waters of the Blue River and other nearby fisheries. And after 10 years I still haven't scratched the surface in exploring the surrounding wilderness areas and climbing the local mountains.
My life experience has helped me to develop a leadership and business style that promotes education, planning, thoughtfulness and balance. My genuine desire is to bring you closer to your goals. I will listen carefully to your needs and desires while educating you about the market, ultimately guiding you to your goal. I'll gladly and skillfully guide you through the real estate process, down a river or up a mountain. |
