Visiting Summit County and looking for a unique experience that you can't get ANYWHERE else? Check out Woodward at Copper! When we aren't out talking to people about Summit County Real Estate we like to enjoy all the fun Summit County activities, and based on our experience at a Woodward Camp Day this one should be at the top of your list.
Woodward at Copper is an indoor 19,400 square foot state-of-the-art training facility designed for athletes who want to build on their skiing, riding, skating or BMX skills. However you do not need to be a super athlete to enjoy it! Anyone in good health and at least 8 years old can sign up for a session and learn how to safely have fun on the mats, trampolines, Snow Flex features and foam pits. They have programs year-round.
We participated in a camp day, which means you spend the morning learning how to use the indoor equipment and working on skills, and then the afternoon out on the snow with a coach. We highly recommend this day-long program if you want to get the most out of your experience, no matter what your current skill level is. You don't need to try anything crazy - basically if you think you'd have fun bouncing on a trampoline, you'll have a blast.
You can also do a quick "One Hit Wonder" session which teaches you how to use the equipment. After completing either of these training programs you can show up anytime for drop in sessions, any time of year.
Even if you don't think you'd enjoy this and some of your family or friends would, you can always go and watch for free! Pro athletes also use the facility on a regular basis, so it is a cool place to just stop by and watch if you have some time to kill while you are visiting Summit County.
Below is a video of one of us doing the trampoline into the foam pit. Bottom Line = So. Much. Fun.
