Frisco Real Estate - Peak One Neighborhood New Development

Frisco Real Estate is about to get a new addition, in a similar vein to the Wellington Neighborhood in Breckenridge.  The Peak One Neighborhood is finally taking shape after years of planning.

Many resort towns are facing the same problem as Summit County. As the prices of second homes in the area have risen over the years, the locals who live and work on a daily basis in the towns often cannot afford to own Summit County Real Estate anymore, and community is lost.  One way that the towns have tried to counteract this phenomenon is to create housing available to locals at a lower price.  In Summit County it has been called Affordable Housing, however as even the lower pricing has shot up, it is more often being called Attainable Housing.  Breckenridge has had success in the Wellington Neighborhood, and while the Peak One area will have some similarities it will also improve upon Wellington's model.

For the last few years the town of Frisco has been working towards development of the Peak One parcel, a 12 acre lot at the southwest end of town.  They are now publishing pans for the neighborhood and the homes and moving forward.  The Peak One Neighborhood will be located adjacent to the National Forest, very near to the elementary school, and walking distance to Frisco's Main Street.  Their intention is to help preserve a sense of community within the town, as well as maintain Frisco's unique character.

If you are a Summit County resident and are interested in these new homes, be aware that they are deed restricted.  There are certainly pros and cons to owning a deed restricted home in Summit County, just as there are to owning a market-priced home.  It will definitely be a new an interesting way to own Frisco Real Estate. You can learn all about the neighborhood and the deed restrictions at their website or contact us for additional information.
